PETA

Stop the Killing!

That's what PETA is all about. Their goal in life is to stop the unnecessary animal abuse that goes on world wide. To encouraging other people to go vegetarian and to stop wearing fur, they use heart throb stories and risque advertisements to stop ALL activities that they feel to be wrong. So if their goal is to stop the killing, then why does Ingrid Newkirk, the President and Co-Founder of PETA, oversee hundreds of killings a day herself!?

That's the truth! PETA's headquarters is in Norfolk, Virginia. At that shelter, in 2010, 2,345 animals were taken into their custody. Of those 2,345, 44 were adopted, 63 were transferred to another shelter, and shockingly, the remaining 2,200 were killed by them! Why? Because PETA claims the right to kill any animal that they deam "unadoptable." "The catch? They don't even have a protocol to what would make an animal unadoptable! It's at their whim!

The State of Virginia did an investigation, and found that in a two months time, of the 290 animals taken into their custody, 245 of them were killed within 24 hours! They also found during the investigation that PETA doesn't have enough housing for all the pets they claim to care for, and they aren't even up to par with their own standards for a shelter! When asked about it, PETA responded that they do not run a shelter, even though they would like you to believe so. For more information on this go to www.petakillsanimals.com

And that's just dogs and cats! They have also been known to kill the very animals that they "rescued," and by rescued I mean stole, from University research labs. Not to mention another 141 wild animals in 2005. Now, I'm an avid hunter, and so I support lawful hunting. Not the reckless, illegal killing that PETA does.

Even more interesting to note, in 2003, Ingrid Newkirk told a little more about her past. In the 1970's her job description was dog catcher, and killer. She said in her own words "I would go to work early, before anyone got there, and just kill the animals myself......I must have killed a thousand of them, sometimes dozens everyday." She would do this because she knew many would be put under euthanasia by the other workers. But she didn't want them to undergo that kind of "abusive treatment" by others, so she'd do it herself. How does that make any kind of sense!? What a sick, twisted, hypocrite!

So if PETA isn't running a shelter, and they're just killing most of the animals brought into their custody, then why do they always ask for donations? It obviously isn't to care for all the animals they don't have in their care. So why would they need your help, and what are they really about if it isn't harboring homeless pets. Could it be there's a whole nother agenda that they're pushing? Let's look at some quotes from Ingrid Newkirk..........

Say what!?........

  • "We do not advocate "right to life" for animals"-Ingrid Newkirk
  • I plan to send my liver somewhere in France, to protest foie gras (liver pate) ... I plan to have handbags made from my skin ... and an umbrella stand made from my seat.-Ingrid Newkirk
  • There’s no rational basis for saying that a human being has special rights. A rat is a pig is a dog is a boy. They’re all animals.”-Ingrid Newkirk
  • Humans have grown like a cancer. We're the biggest blight on the face of the earth.-Ingrid Newkirk
  • I am not a morose person, but I would rather not be here. I don’t have any reverence for life, only for the entities themselves. I would rather see a blank space where I am. This will sound like fruitcake stuff again but at least I wouldn’t be harming anything.-Ingrid Newkirk
  • Even if animal tests produced a cure for AIDS, we’d be against it.-Ingrid Newkirk
  • Probably everything we do is a publicity stunt ... we are not here to gather members, to please, to placate, to make friends. We're here to hold the radical line.-Ingrid Newkirk
  • "We are not especially 'interested in' animals. Neither of us had ever been inordinately fond of dogs, cats, or horses in the way that many people are. We didn't 'love' animals." -Peter Singer, mentor of Ingrid Newkirk
  • When the death of a disabled infant will lead to the birth of another infant with better prospects of a happy life the total amount of happiness will be greater if the disabled infant is killed. The loss of happy life for the first infant is outweighed by the gain of a happier life for the second. Therefore, if killing the haemophiliac infact has no adverse effect on others, it would, according to the total view, be right to kill him."- Dr. Peter Singer
  • “Our nonviolent tactics are not as effective. We ask nicely for years and get nothing. Someone makes a threat, and it works.-Ingrid Newkirk
  • “I will be the last person to condemn ALF [the Animal Liberation Front].-Ingrid Newkirk

The ALF

Those are some spooky words from some even scarier extremists. From those quotes alone, you can see that Ingrid isn't about saving pets. She's an anti-life, radical, who sees human's as a plague to this earth who need to be reduced, and is willing to go to any length to see animals returned to the wild at any cost. Including suffering to humans. So tell me, when did human rights become subordinate to animal rights?

Probably the scariest words uttered by Newkirk are, "I will be the last person to condemn the ALF." Hmm, interesting way to put it seeing as how she donates PETA's money to the terrorist organization every year. Appears in their publications, helps the efforts of the legal defense of the ALF criminals, (with PETA money. Your donations), and has been brought to court over her possible involvement in the arson of the Michigan State University lab. Huh, but she says she would only go as far as not "condemning them."

So what is the ALF? The Animal Liberation Front, is an underground, international, resistance group that uses violence, and other illegal methods to advocate complete animal liberation. Their methods have reached such a level, that the FBI has classified them as a "domestic terrorist threat." Since 1979, the ALF, through their violent tactics and vandalism, have caused more than $110 million in losses, committed over 2,000 crimes since 1979, and have attacked bussiness and individuals across the nation, in the name of the "defenseless animals."

Scary that the organization PETA, who takes your money in the name of helping animals, has ties to such extremists as these. Bruce Friedrich, former PETA vegetarian campaign coordinator has said, "Blowing stuff up and smashing windows...is a great way to bring about animal liberation. Hallelujah to the people who are willing to do it."

SHARK

But PETA isn't the only Animal Rights organization with ties to the ALF. SHARK, or SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness, has a history with them to. SHARK hasn't resorted to violence yet, but illegal crimes? You betcha! In 1996, founder Steve Hindi spent 180 days in jail after he and his followers disrupted and did damage to a legal hunting club in Illinois. He was eventually let out on a $50,000 bail. Aside from that, there are countless instances of SHARK attacking legal clubs, activities and sports like rodeo, slandering business and individuals alike, along with viscious personal threats.

But it doesn't stop there. Even SHARK has ties to the ALF. Recently a SHARK blog has appeared on the ALF website, where SHARK was praised by that organization in its efforts to support them in their cause.

Seek First To Understand

Steven R. Covey once wrote in one of his books "Seek first to understand, then seek to be understood." I've tried to use that in every aspect of life. You tend to get a lot further in life, and accomplish a lot more if you first seek to understand others points of view, before trying to force yours on them. Well, I have tried to understand where Animal Rights radicals are coming from, that's why I've done so much research on it. But the more and more that I learn about them, the more and more I become disgusted with the so call values they perpetrate. When did putting animals on a tier above humans become acceptable? Or slandering a persons, or businesses good name all for the animals? Hurting the economy by destroying public and private property? Infiltrating the school systems and shoving their propaganda down the throats of the kids. Teaching them that animals are more important than the welfare of the human race? In fact, in their point of view human life is something that should be looked down upon and held with contempt in comparison to the greater good of the animals. Now I'm a firm believer in Animal Welfare, but Animal Rights? No sir! At least not the animal rights they're promoting! Those so called "values" aren't the values that America was founded upon, and shouldn't be the values that American's hold in regard!

And that's the truth! At least from where I'm sittin'
